Moreton Bay Multisense

Moreton Bay Multisense is for children and adults with learning difficulties, specialising in dyslexia.  I am an experienced primary educator who is currently finalising my training with the Australian Institute for Multisensory Language Education.

I am passionate about supporting learners who are struggling with reading and writing; those who are frustrated and falling behind and whose results in the classroom don’t reflect their intelligence.  1 million Australian children are at risk of reading failure with 1/4 of Australian students achieving literacy results at or below the minimum standards. (National Inquiry into Teaching of LIteracy 2005) My goal is to provide one on one support for those students.

Our Approach

Moreton Bay Multisense, provides instruction that builds student confidence and allows them to experience success every lesson.  Lessons are structured in such a way that they build on what the student knows, introducing new concepts in a way that is structured and supportive.  I am a patient and caring educator, who is experienced with planning and delivering lessons for students with learning difficulties, focusing on building confidence through a consistent, multisensory approach.

Dyslexia Services

Moreton Bay Multisense offers 50 – minute private in person or online Dyslexia tutoring and coaching sessions.

Two sessions per week are recommended to assist students in the retention of new skills.  Depending on circumstances, available time and budget, you may choose to attend one session per week noting that learning objectives may take longer to achieve.

A referral is not required to begin or attend Dyslexia private home – based tutoring or online sessions with Moreton Bay Multisense.

We use multisensory teaching methods to teach language skills to students.  This means that as many senses are engaged as possible during the lesson; hearing, sight, speech and bodily movement.  This method is based on research on how the brain learns to read and has been proven to be very effective in helping students with dyslexia to improve their reading and writing skills.
